I just got the lab results in... they were suppose to be completed after 8 wks of treatment, but due to a lab mix-up I did not get the labs drawn until week 9 and my viral load in now down to <50ml.
I just took shot number 10, so two more shots and it's 0 viral load..... OR BUST!
All-in-all I'm still doing fine.... still loosing weight and feeling tired all the time, but I guess that is normal. I now have a few injection site bruises... but that is due to the almost total lack of body fat.... who ever thought a woman would complain about a lack of body fat.... LOL
Well... I'm still SMILING.... so all you guys KEEP SMILING TOO.

Tue, April 18, 2006 - 10:43 AMThe good news is that you will get so used to being tired that it will seems normal, and then, as your red cell count climbs you will notice that you have more energy. Other than knowing that I'm just not right, I feel normal. If I just stop procrastinating and jump into action, I always have enough energy to gitterdone.
I believe that you will be at zero in two weeks too Tonjha.

and that's exactly what I plan to do.... as far as being "knowing I'm just not right"

My family MD's nurse called with the results, but I'm not sure she knew how to read the labs. So, I'm waiting for a call from the Hep Doc's office.
I'll let you know what I find out.

Thu, April 20, 2006 - 12:17 PMOkay.... here is the latest on the lab results. The test would only show a viral load 50ml> and the count was too low to get a reading. I'm now waiting for the Hep Doc to call and let me know what's next. I figure they will run the 12 wk test with the most sensitive test available in order to show if I am at 0.... currently I could be viral load 0 or I could be 49.
My family MD told me today that he believes I will have no problem showing a Non-Detect by the end of the 12wks, since I still had 3 shots to go... after the last test.
So... cross your fingers.... say a prayer.... whatever.... I'm going to beat this dragon.

The Hep-C Doc says that I am an official NON DETECT at wk 8.... Appears there are no tests that will detect a viral load lower than 50ml.....
So I'm officially signed up for the long haul.... the full 48 wks of treatment… 38 wks to go until it’s over.
