Yes Amber and depending upon how dark, that can be a not good thing. Did you just get infected? Do you drink lots of water? Does your liver/spleen hurt? Is it only first thing in the am?

before you jump to any dire conclusions Amber, the most common cause of dark urine is not enough fluids, water to be precise. try a few good solid days of at least 8 ounces every hour and see if that doesn't help.

you only have a liver on your right side, so your left side pain and discomfort my be a whole other general abdominal issue other than the hep c, something as simple as heart burn

I recommend you shop around to see what type of medical assistance you have available in your area, the department of health services is a good place to start. you sound like you could use a good overall medical checkup

hep c is a tricky little bastard and can effect your overall health long before it actually does any true liver damage, my prayers are with you

My urine is typically dark when I have not drunk enough water to the point of almost a brown color. YOU have to drink water!!! When I was on treatment I drank about 10 glasses a day (alot for me) and my urine did lighten up. I'd try that first.

Dark urine could just mean your not drinking enough water. Dont know if it could be hep c related.
Other than that, how ya been doin Amber?

Well I didnt clear the virus... I still have hep C, but it's great to feel normal and enjoy life. I did'nt always enjoy life when I was on treatment, but I live each day to the fullest now, and enjoy each minute of it.

              Hi Amber
My liver still hurts now and I'm a year post treatment and with a SVR! It still hurts on the right side too.

I worried about this a lot but the doc said it's normal. Hope you feel better soon

Hi Amber...Yes, good days and bad days come with hep c. I used to feel like I was always going down with something but never did. Always headachy and tired.

I meant to say left side too in my previous post not right.

I hope you feel better soon. Keep drinking the water.

                  Tracey
