Clearing with TCM herbs

Hi, I've been lurking for a year or so. Hope I'm not intruding but I'm an acupuncturist in Los Angeles and been treating and studying HCV for a number of years. I'm certainly aware of Misha's work although haven't taken her class yet. A few years ago I went to China to look at their treatments, mainly in HBV. Although I've had success in lowering viral loads and normalizing enzymes I'm curious to know of persons who have cleared the virus with only herbs. This is a question all my patients ask and although I've only met one person who has claimed this.
thanks,
doug eisenstark L.Ac.

From what I've heard TCM herbs can control symptoms to some extent but nothing can cure the virus at present other than combination treatment. I'm sure we'd all be using herbs if thaey worked.
Some tests have shown that TCM herbs interfere with ALTs and give a wrong reading, making it look as if the ALT is low.

I was one of the grand rounds people at the class. I had no idea I could stick my tongue out for so long. Or that I could listen to people say things about it without becoming offended. It was good, Gish spoke and Andrew from Health Concerns was there and a few other doctors.

Misha says that tcm doesn't clear the virus and I've seen her say often enough to note that she is emphatic and not worrying about lawsuits. She's working on getting a grant to study it as complementary with interferon/ribaviron in study with Dr. Gish.

I had great success w/tcm and acupuncture for symptomatic relief and got my viral load down. I also did Misha's protocol (somewhat modified) along with interferon/ribaviron and cleared the virus.
